V1 – FAI 3X (2013 model)

hitian outrigger canoe) includes the

V1 - FAI 3X™, V1 - FAI 3™ and the V1 - TAMA™ models. These models are available in different materials layup choices accommodating different types of budget.

The FAI 3 design has a slightly more rounded hull cross section fore of the cockpit providing more buoyancy in the bow and more maneuverability while preventing excessive pearling in extreme sea conditions, carrying the paddler from bump to bump burying the nose and losing momentum.

The V1 - FAI 3X is currently our flagship model. This V1’s responsiveness will impress any Va’a aficionado while its performance in any ocean conditions will make any paddler why they paddled anything else before.

V1 – TAMA

Finally a V1 designed for kids!

The V1 - TAMA is a junior sized V1 specifically made for children and young teenagers.

It was designed for kids ages 4 - 12 years old or up to 1 m 50 cm (4 ft 11 in) in height and 50 kgs (115 lbs).

This is literally the best gift a parent could purchase their child. The V1 - TAMA was designed with kids in mind. It is smaller and weighs less so that is becomes easier for a child to control and maneuver than the larger adult sized canoes. The perfect choice for a starter canoe for your child, this junior V1 will teach you kids a love for the ocean bright and early.

V3 – FAI

The V3 – FAI is our three men Tahitian outrigger canoe and the reference in the sport of open ocean V3 racing in Tahiti (as opposed to sprint V3 racing which uses very light and fragile outrigger canoes that are only fitted for absolutely flat conditions). However, the V3 – FAI was designed such that it can be built in ultralight layup and become a fierce sprinting machine.

Between the “one-man” outrigger canoe, V1, and the “six-men” outrigger canoe, V6, the V3 - FAI permits team paddlers to train differently and tighten the team spirit. It is also great for 6-men or 9-men crews to form teams of three to train and compete against each other, pushing each team member to develop more skills and push their limits. The V3 - FAI is a training tool that should not be neglected by larger crews.
